Bespoke hibiscus-inspired textile sculpture

Garden Café

2025

Garden Café wanted more visibility on the beautiful Place de Bronckart, where all the buildings look alike. Because the listed façade couldn’t accommodate a traditional sign, Fabrizio came up with a simple yet brilliant idea: to bring the artistic touch of the indoor sculpture outside.

Three flowers were created to decorate the balcony. Made from parachute fabric chosen for its strength and waterproof qualities, each piece was crafted using the same hand-smocking technique as the indoor hibiscus. The pistils are a playful mix of painted, upcycled objects.

" I get two or three new tables a day who find us thanks to the hibiscus flowers on the façade. — Fabrizio
