Bespoke textile sculpture inspired by hibiscus flower

Garden Café

2024

Garden Café takes us into a refined, Latin-inspired atmosphere. As the final touch to an already beautiful venue, I had the pleasure of creating a custom textile sculpture freely inspired by the hibiscus flower. The flower measures around 140 cm in diameter and required eight metres of fabric. The hand-smocked folds create a delicate, crumpled texture. The pistil is adorned with small glass-bead cups, woven by hand. The structure combines felt and PVC, chosen for their lightness and flexibility.
